The Manager, Engineering is responsible for supporting the operation and physical condition of a national retail portfolio consisting primarily of single-tenant net lease properties. The Manager, Engineering oversees vendor performance, reviews engineering and property condition reports, manages vacant asset maintenance programs, and provides technical support for acquisitions, dispositions, tenant construction, and capital planning initiatives.
This position is primarily office-based and relies heavily on remote oversight and coordination of vendors, consultants, contractors, and tenants across a geographically diverse portfolio. The Manager, Engineering serves as a trusted technical advisor to Property Management, Asset Management, and Leasing teams, providing engineering guidance, risk assessments, and recommendations to support informed decision-making and long-term asset preservation strategies.
The Manager, Engineering serves as the primary facilities and engineering resource for the portfolio and works closely with Property Management, Asset Management, Leasing, and third-party consultants to protect and preserve asset value. The focus of the position is vendor management, project coordination, facilities oversight, engineering review, and vacant asset management rather than direct operation of building systems or supervision of engineering personnel. The Manager, Engineering must exhibit outstanding client service and professionalism in all interactions with tenants, vendors, consultants, and company personnel.
